Welcome to Longmuir’s Hidden Cove Cottages. 

We are Mike and Rachelle Longmuir and have been operating Longmuir’s Hidden Cove Cottages since August of 2016.  We look forward to hosting your cottage vacation. 

Here is a little bit about us… We have spent over 20 years cottaging in the Bancroft area with our families at various times of year but specifically in the summer months.  Our children have great memories of the various places we have stayed, and they are still talked about to this day.  We would always bring our boat and spend time fishing, doing water sports, exploring, and enjoying a marshmallow over an open fire in the evenings.

We are originally from the Niagara Region, so when our kids moved out of the house, we started looking at opportunities to being owner/operators of a Cottage resort.  Our background experiences has enabled us to consider this type of commitment on a full time basis.  Our goal was to help make similar unforgettable memories for everyone.  We finally settled in McArthurs Mills at the North end of Lake Weslemkoon where we now enjoy this life on a permanent basis. 

While here, you may see our fishing companion, Molson. He is our Jack Russel/Pug mix and loves this place as much as we do. You will often find him at the shoreline in the summer time fishing for minnows. He will spend hours hunting them but is never successful in catching them… However he is persistent, determined and will keep trying. Very entertaining for all who watch. He also loves to come fishing with us and gets so excited when he hears the whizzz of our lines when we have a fish on. He must always kiss the fish before it is relased.
